SHPE changes lives by empowering the Hispanic community to not only recognize their full potential but also to actively contribute to the global landscape through comprehensive STEM initiatives. Our mission is centered around creating an inclusive environment where STEM awareness, accessibility, support, and development are the pillars of our transformative journey.

SHPE nurtures leadership skills in our members, empowering them to lead in their fields and create positive change in their communities. professionals share their insights, providing students with invaluable wisdom and the potential to apply newfound knowledge, thus enriching their journey of personal growth. Our goal is to curate interactive workshops through partnerships with professionals, aiming to nurture dynamic learning and hands-on skill development.

I enjoy meeting people, watching combat sports but as well as learning as much as I can about electronics. I’m super excited to lead SHPE this year and can’t wait to meet you all at our events!

Hey Familia! My name is Raymond Cortez, and I’ll be serving as your 2025–2026 SHPE Vice President. I’m currently a Computer Engineering major here at Sac State with a strong interest in wearable technology, and I’m also an active member of MESA. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my friends and girlfriend, reading, working on personal projects, and watching shows. I’m passionate about learning and always ready to take on new challenges. I’m really excited for everything this year has in store, and I can’t wait to connect with all of you!

Hi SHPE Familia! My name is Analaura, and I’ll be serving as your 2025–2026 Treasurer. I’m a third-year Civil Engineering student with an interest in Water Resources. Outside of school, I love staying active indoors and outdoors, reading, doing crafts, and enjoying sweet treats with my boyfriend. I’m excited to reconnect with familiar faces and to welcome new ones as we continue to grow our SHPE familia.

My name is Joseph A. Muniz. I’m a 4th year Electrical & Electronic Engineering student focused on power design. It is my career goal to one day work developing power generating systems for space bound technologies. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with family and friends as well as golfing. Outside of classes, I’m on the Sac State Rowing Team, enjoying pasta a little too often, or finding a way to bring up pigs in conversation because, honestly, they’re my favorite. I’m passionate about connecting people with opportunities, building community, and bringing energy to everything I do.
